Our Island

If you look closely on the bottom left of this picture, you can see Dutch Harbor and Unalaska and the island that we are on. It's part of the Aleutian Islands and many of the native people still live here. The population is predominantly white and Asian and many of the residents are involved in the fishing industry. It's a very small town and the fastest speed limit is 30 mph. There is a grocery store and a few other small "we sell everything" stores, but you could pretty much walk to anything if you needed to. The town does have 2 post offices though. I'm starting to recognize people already and we've only been here 2 days. But we haven't seen anyone from "Deadliest Catch" yet....
